A Marrakech private driver is a chauffeur and car booked for your group only, at your disposal for the time you choose: from a minimum of 4 hours, up to a half-day, a full day or an evening. Your driver collects you from your hotel or riad, waits while you visit where that is agreed in your booking, and can take you beyond the city to Ourika, Agafay or the Atlas when that journey is part of your booking. What a private driver in Marrakech does (and doesn’t)
What your driver does:
- picks you up at your hotel, riad or another agreed address
- drives you between the places on your plan, at your pace
- waits for you during visits, meetings or meals, where this is agreed in your booking
- drops you as close to Medina addresses as a vehicle can legally and accessibly reach
What your driver doesn’t do: act as a tour guide. If you want the history of a palace or a walk through the souks explained, book a licensed local guide for that visit; your driver handles the road.

By the hour (hourly chauffeur)
The minimum chauffeur booking is 4 hours. It suits a morning of gardens and shopping, an afternoon of meetings, or a few stops you’d rather not organise by taxi.
Half-day
A longer block for a relaxed tour of the city’s sights or a short trip out of town. The exact duration is agreed in your quote.
Full day
A driver for most of the day: the city and the Palmeraie, or a journey into the Atlas foothills when that is agreed in your booking. The duration is agreed in your quote.
Evenings (dinner, Agafay sunset)
Evening chauffeur hire is available: dinner in Gueliz or the Medina, an event, or a sunset evening at a camp in the Agafay desert, with the driver taking you back afterwards.

Fuel and tolls are included where applicable, as set out in your quote. Anything else (for example entrance tickets, meals or a site guide) is not part of chauffeur hire unless your quote says otherwise.
How to book your driver
- Send your request on WhatsApp: date, start time, pickup location, where you want to go, number of passengers and any luggage or vehicle needs.
- Receive your per-vehicle quote. Payment method, currency and timing are confirmed at booking.
- Get your confirmation. Once we confirm your request, you receive your booking and driver details.
Short-notice and same-day requests are possible, subject to availability.

- Private driver: your own car and driver for an agreed time, waiting where agreed and going where your plan takes you.
- Licensed tour guide: explains the sites on foot. Tourist guiding in Morocco is a regulated profession, so book an accredited guide separately if you want one. Our drivers are not tour guides.
- Petit taxi: fine for a single short hop. The UK government notes that petit taxis often pick up other passengers along the way.
